Convoy has three core principles: partner with clients we believe in, create the best work possible, and produce effective results.
We believe that effective branding requires a comprehensive strategy, skilled execution, and ongoing brand stewardship. We collaborate with our clients to create brands that are memorable and lasting in a competitive marketplace.
We design and build all types of things. Our clients’ needs dictate the solution. By targeting the number one problem, we are able to create a solution. We do this by determining what makes our clients’ company or product unique.
Matt has more than 14 years experience in business development, project management, application and database development, and technical instruction. Matt has also worked as a Senior Engineer, Adjunct Professor, and Service Manager. He received a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia.
Tim has more than 13 years experience in the areas of project management, application and database development, system administration, and staff training. Tim is proficient in a variety of programming languages and is an experienced UNIX system administrator. He received a B.A. in English Literature with a Minor in Computer Science from James Madison University.
As co-founding partner and creative director at Convoy, Matt oversees creative development for all studio accounts. Throughout his career he has designed and managed award winning work for clients big and small. His clean and bold design aesthetic has served a wide variety of clients such as Time Life, Procter & Gamble, and AARP. In his free time, Matt enjoys lecturing on design, renovating his house with his wife Julie, and running marathons.
Filling the gaps at Convoy, Sarah assists clients, crunches numbers, jumps in the production pool, and provides myriad other types of administrative and project support. Sarah holds a BA in English and an MA in American Studies from the University of Virginia and maintains an above ground music career, most recently highlighted in her Convoy designed website: www.sarah-white.com
Christine has spent over half a decade working in web development. She agrees heartily with the WordPress affirmation that “Code is Poetry” and excels at balancing the utilitarian skill of a standards-based developer with the elegance of an audience-focused and user-friendly experience. Concentrating largely on content management system integration, with the occasional foray into web-based design, she strives to create a finished product that looks polished and professional, yet can easily grow and shift to fit changing needs and technologies. Christine received a B.A. in English from Hollins University with a Minor in Psychology.
Michelle, the newest addition to the Convoy team, graduated from James Madison University in 2011 and was pulled onboard soon after. Her strong illustration and design sensibilities make her a highly versatile member of the team. Her love for art and design continues to feed her desire to travel the world and refine her skills as a visual artist. She received a B.F.A in Studio Art/Graphic Design from James Madison University.
